The Sun, in STEREO

I’m a sucker for space images of globes. Somewhere on one or another computer I have a collection – the moon, Earth, Callisto, the Sun.

Here’s a snapshot from a moving image (in stereo – two satellites) of our Sun. Follow the link for links to movies of a “Coronal Mass Ejection” with waves moving around the Sun’s surface.
